Hi Friends!

It's been a while since I posted - work continues to be crappy and suck the life right out of me, so I haven't been writing. But I thought it would be fun to resurrect an old meme to prove that I'm alive and here and that I still love you all.

Rules: You post a topic, list, category, whatever, in my fandom in the comments. (examples: "Five Dates X Regretted Going On," or "Five Things Y Has On His Shelf", or "Your Five Favorite Songs to Write to). I'll answer with a list of five things.

My main fandoms are White Collar, WC RPF, and Teen Wolf, but you can go back to Supernatural or Dark Angel if you want. Topics can also be about writing or fandom in general.

elrhiarhodan got this one started today, and I love to play this meme so much. Ask me about any fic in any fandom that I've written, and I will happily divulge details.

Here's how it works:

Pick a passage from my stories, up to 500 words, from anything I've written in my LJ masterlist and on AO3 (my AO3 masterlist has my Teen Wolf fic in addition to all the WC and WCRPS goodies), and comment to this post with that selection (including a link to the story being excerpted). I will then give you a DVD commentary on that snippet: what I was thinking when I wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what's going on in the character's heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the story, awful puns [perhaps], and anything else that you'd expect to find on a DVD commentary track.

If you would like to ask about multiple stories, that's awesome. Please post the passages in separate comments so that I can respond coherently about each one. :)

I thought I would throw this out there because I've always found the behind-the-scenes of a TV show to be fascinating. I was a writers' assistant for an hour-long NBC show a few years ago. I wasn't privy to everything, but I did sit in the writers' room sometimes, and I was responsible for research and making sure certain things cleared legal. I also spent as much time on set as possible. If I don't know the answer, I'll tell you and you can ask something else, if you want :)

Due to work continuing to be a pain in the ass and the fact that I can barely come on LJ without having anxiety over the number of unresponded to comments I have, I'm declaring comment amnesty on 2014.
