MMXXL Thoughts
I do not have an icon of Matt stripping, so have contemplative Matty instead. It kind of sums up my feelings right now.

This is not a review or anything - mostly it's the thoughts that came to me on the drive home.

So, there is way less stripping in this movie. There is a lot of dirty dancing, but there is not much stripping. At all. Not even in the final acts at the *stripper* convention.

Matt has more than three lines, but his Texas twang is hard to handle after a while. I love it in small doses though. On the bright side, he does get made fun of a bit on-screen for it, which is kind of awesome.

The singing though. The singing is epic. He has a beautiful voice, and it is a treat to watch him both sing and dance. (Note the word "dance" instead of "strip".) Sing, dance, and wear the hell out of that fedora. Yum. This was my favorite part, but I was expecting that going in.

There is a storyline that only somewhat has to do with furniture making. Basically, they tried to make each character 3-dimensional by giving them career aspirations, which felt more like a wink at the audience in Matt's case. I can't exactly remember what anyone but Ken's and Tito's were though...

I like the buddies-on-a-road-trip type of movie, so that part was fun. It was certainly very entertaining, and it helped to watch it in a crowd of other women. Everyone had reactions that were fun, and there was a lot of clapping and cheering for Matt and for Channing. (Yes, it's the kind of movie where the audience feels the need to get involved.)

Friday! I get to see Matty sing, dance and fedora!

I'm quite sure that will be my favorite part as well.

I don't think he's that picky... just as long as there's certain amount of fuzziness :P

A good friend and I just got done seeing it, and we had very similar reactions, too.

Loved it WAY more than the first one, and loved that Matt's role is definitely more "filled out," even if it is a bit laughable in places ;-)

LOL, I think the way it can be interpreted is: if everything else fails, you're still sex on legs *shrugs*

*pets Ken*

**ABS-OLUTELY**!! ;-) (couldn't resist!)

And the movie is just plain entertaining, IMO. It won't win awards (well, major ones; it may win some fan-based ones), but being enjoyable and entertaining is a wonderful accomplishment!!
