This has not been the best week, but it seems to be ending on a bit of a high note, so it's not a total wash. TGIF!
All the Drabble Meme fills have be posted in the Drabble Meme Roundup post. Enjoy!
Writing
I started off the week writing incredibly hurt-y WCRPS fic that I'm still tweaking. It's nowhere near complete because I haven't found the right balance yet of pacing or detail. It's a Thanksgiving story though, so I definitely want to get it posted before next week.
Also, I played the Drabble Meme, which looks like it went over really well. I appreciate all of the prompts that were left for me, and I hope everyone enjoyed their fills. A few of them did give me ideas for future ficlets/fics, so you might see some of them pop back up.
And all of the Neal/Sara prompts have gotten me in the mood to write my Advent fic, which is very exciting. I haven't written them in a while, and with the new love interest on the show, it's hard to get back into the Neal/Sara frame of mind without re-watching Season 3.
School
This was my last week of classes for this semester, and I'm so incredibly happy about that. My Anatomy teacher has no idea what teaching actually is, and I'm sure I would have been better off taking the class online. I'm taking the second half of the class next semester online because I feel ill-prepared to do it any other way at this point.
I have a final on December 10th, but I have an A average in the class right now. Woohoo!
The other class I had this semester was a silly Computer class because I needed a couple more credits. It's so far just been amusing, and an easy A, as some might say. If I do decide to change my focus to Health IT, then I'm hoping I can use it as my computer credit.
On the bright side, a very nice man in the Admissions office got me a refund on this current semester and a cheaper tuition rate on next semester. I'm finally an in-state student! (I found it very hard to give up my California driver's license and car tags when I first moved so it took me several months to actually do it, which ultimately hurt my ability to apply as an in-state student because I don't have many documents that prove I live here.) And I got my refund today! :D
Work
Work has been the utter bane of my existence this week. We have had some major, major network problems, and I know everyone in the office was having a very hard time of it. I felt mostly useless sitting in my comfy living room, waiting for them to work things out and trying to field client calls without giving away too much information.
I'm exhausted by the whole thing and haven't felt much like writing this week, which troubles me. I'm really glad I did the Drabble Meme because it gave me a chance to have a creative outlet without requiring too much focus.
Here's to hoping next week is better! And it's only a half week because of the US Thanksgiving holiday.
An oldie but a goodie. *stares into his eyes and sighs dreamily*
