It is bad luck to whistle in a theatre. The superstition dates back to the time when off-duty sailors would run the fly system in theatres, and the sailors would whistle the cues to each other. Whiskey is clear when it is first distilled. It gets it's color and much of it's taste from the oak barrels in which it is aged. (wonder if it's more like vodka right when it's distilled, hmmmm)
