( Three long and tiring days later, Neal was doing well enough that the doctor released him with the stipulation that someone needed to be available to keep an eye on him. His concussion was still giving him headaches and sometimes made him unsteady on his feet. Not to mention that the amnesia was still an issue. )

Title: I Will Follow You...

Word Count: ~6200
Summary: Neal and Sara's first date night after their son is born ends in a devastating accident that could forever alter their futures.

Note: Fills the Wild Card slot on my new hc_bingo card, which I'll say is Accidents. Written for the whitecollarhc Whump-A-Palooza prompt by virgo_79 : Peter gets a call from the hospital that Neal and Sara have been airlifted in; they've either been in a really bad car wreck, or they've been the victims of somebody's work catching up with them (either one has to have a list of enemies a mile long at this point.) One of them is worse off than the other, and it falls to Peter to be the one the let the first one awake know what's happening.

Note 2: This takes place in a 'verse I'm tentatively (and cornily) calling 'Where There's a Will' in which Sara is pregnant when Neal returns at the beginning of season 4, and they make a go of it. This story takes place a little over a year after Wanted/Most Wanted and my story No More Secrets.


( Bright lights suddenly engulfed the inside of the car as he reached for her and she tried to turn and look. Abruptly, the whole car jerked sideways and the terrible screeching of metal giving way to metal filled the night. )

Summary: Neal makes a deal to save Peter's life after his past comes back to bite him in the ass.

Note: Fills the Making Deals with Demons space on my H/C Bingo card (I finished a line!). Demon is used figuratively, as I couldn't bring myself to write a Supernatural fic to fill a space.  Also, the title is borrowed from the Dashboard Confessional song.

( Without a word, Neal had dragged a chair by the door and sat sentry over both Peter and Elizabeth. She'd wanted to tell him that he was being ridiculous, that there were two FBI agents covering the door outside and a number of Peter's colleagues were lingering in the waiting room for news. This particular ICU room was the safest place in the city right now. )

Or maybe it's something that reveals a bit of previously unknown past.
