I don't usually do this, but I have thoughts and speculations about the promo because wtf show?






I'm keeping this spoiler-free except for what's shown in the promo. All the thinky thoughts are speculation.

First thing - Neal wants his sentence to be commuted? I'm sure you do, honey, but that's not your decision to make. Especially not after you spent the entire season doing bad, *illegal* things. And not even just the things that Hagen made you do. So, hold your horses right there and be thankful that you're not in an orange jumpsuit.

I love Neal - he's my favorite character and I'm the first to admit it. But I think that's just completely ridiculous. I'm thinking that it relates to my second point...

Second thing - I think the bit at the end where Peter gets the phone call and asks "How?" is a misdirect - we're supposed to think it's about Neal's commutation and the things he's done this season, but it's actually about Rebecca/Rachel escaping custody. I think she's going to come after Neal - she's hurt that he sicced the FBI on her and that he's playing with her in the interrogation, so she wants to get even. A woman scorned, and all that.
