A Few Things...
Hi Friends :)

I'm off to LA tomorrow for about 10 days, so I won't be around as much as usual. I won't be as quick with the Normal Heart links or news, so I suggest checking out the The Normal Heart Movie Tumblr. I know most don't like Tumblr, but this one is a great source of news, info, and gifs about the movie.

If you have a public library card, you should check out their website and see if they give you access to e-mags through Zinio. I download Mental Floss and a couple of other things for free there every month, and I get the gossip mags for flights from them too. I just found out tonight that my local library has Out available for free from Zinio. They don't have Matt's issue up yet, but it's something to look forward to. And for free! :)

I'm still working on my AU meme prompts. I was trying to do one a night, but I got sidetracked tonight by the last minute packing/freaking out that I'm forgetting something. I will continue to work on them and post them - there are three up so far - and I'll do a roundup post when I'm finished.

I'm finding it utterly impossible to use LJ on my iPad. It keeps trying to force me to use the new layout every time I have to sign in and it looks absolutely wretched in the mobile version of Chrome. Ugh. So much for being sneaky at work with the LJ.

I hope everyone has a great week! *HUGS*

Out Magazine Outtakes and HuffPost Live Webcast Tomorrow Morning
Monday just got a little better!

Head over here to read some outtakes from Matt's Out magazine interview. There is more discussion of the weight loss and Simon weighs in on what it was like to watch it on screen. Matt also talks about the end of White Collar and a little about Magic Mike and Montgomery Clift.

Also, the cast of The Normal Heart sat down with Huffington Post for an interview, which will be broadcast tomorrow morning at 10:50am ET here (I think - their website is very confusing for the things that aren't up yet). For a snippet of the interview, where Ryan Murphy and Jim Parsons discusses Larry Kramer being on set the day that DOMA was struck down, go here

Edited to fix the time of the HuffPost Live airing

ETA: Fourth HBO Teaser Trailer (it's almost entirely comprised of footage we've already seen, just FYI)

Out Magazine - Matt Bomer
The Out magazine article is up on their website along with new photos. I haven't had a chance to read the article yet, but I will update this post if there needs to be any warnings.

ETA: No warnings necessary, but I will share these bits of the interview:

That test — of what, exactly, Hollywood wants to offer a chiseled-jawed, classically trained, out gay actor — is rapidly approaching. White Collar ends this fall. “It will be a tough hat to hang up,” Bomer says, but it will also free him from a New York commute that made him feel at times “like a hamster on a wheel.”

It will certainly be hard to watch him hang that hat too. :'(

And he’d like to get back to writing a book “that’s been festering for a while.”

A book?! I need more details, Out. Like what kind and a synopsis, please. Also, he co-wrote a pilot several years ago called Nashville that I have not been able to track down, but he does have some writing chops. I'm curious to see what the book is about... and if he'll do the audiobook version himself.

There are a lot of other quotable parts about his marriage to Simon, being a father, growing up in Spring, coming out during drama school, and many more. It's definitely a great article.

New TNH Promo
HBO is really promoting the hell out of this movie on YouTube. Every little glimpse I get of the Ned/Felix relationship makes me want it that much more, even though I know how it ends. This is the very definition of bittersweet, isn't it?

EW: Behind the Scenes Video - The Normal Heart
Entertainment Weekly has shared an exclusive behind the scenes video of the making of The Normal Heart - running time: 2 minutes. There's a brief piece of interview with Matt wearing the black turtleneck that we've seen him wear in set pics. There's also a few shots from the filming where you can see him - my fave is him slow dancing with Ruffalo.

Short article and Video available at EW.com.
