I have been wanting to see Boyhood since I heard about it last month, so I drove down to Hollywood today because it was only playing down there and one other spot somewhere else in the city. I normally don't drive to Hollywood, but it wasn't far off the freeway and I didn't have to go near Hollywood & Highland (aka traffic nightmare central).
If you don't know, Boyhood is a movie by Richard Linklater, which he filmed over a period of twelve years. One week out of each year was spent filming the movie, so you get to see the young boy and girl grow from children to adults. It also stars Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette. It's a really interesting idea (Linklater often does really cool things with his films), and it turned out amazing.

I really enjoyed it, and I highly recommend it. It's really fascinating watching all of the characters grow and change through the years. The story is pretty common, sadly - the parents aren't together, and the mother makes some very questionable life choices, but I love watching families on-screen. The interaction between siblings and parent-child are all very fascinating to me.
