Drabbles with Hurts and Feels
I should be studying, but this lightning bolt of inspiration hit in chat just now, and I have to post it.

Give me a character and a hurt or a feel, and I'll write you a drabble of 100-300 words. Probably tonight. I've been mainlining coffee since my two hour nap this evening.

ETA: All the coffee is not keeping me awake. Keep leaving prompts - I'll work on some tomorrow in between the studying. Thanks! :D

Drabble Meme: Part Deux
In the comments, leave me the name of a character and a noun (place, emotion, thing, whatever). You can also specify a 'verse or story, if you'd like - my Masterlist will be up to date by the end of today (4/16). I'll write you a drabble, which I'm being less strict about this go 'round and saying it'll be between 100 and 300 words.

Prompt away! All fandoms/'verses/stories are up for grabs :)

(If you want to see the results of the Drabble Meme: Part I, check it out here.)

Twelve Questions About My Writing, A Meme
I'm still working on the Fifteen Characters Meme, but this one looks so interesting that I can't pass it up. Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] elrhiarhodan.

Choose a number, any number, and I will answer it as truthfully as I can - some of these are very hard. The idea here is to be positive and fair about our writings, our process, and our thoughts about them. Feel free to request a number that's already been requested, and I will do my best to answer it in different or more in-depth way.

1. Of the fic you’ve written, of which are you most proud?
2. Favorite tense
3. Favorite POV
4. What are some themes you love writing about?
5. What inspires you to write?
6. Thoughts on critique
7. Create a character on the spot... NOW!
8. Is there a character you love writing for the most? The least? Why?
9. A passage from a WIP
10. What are your strengths in writing?
11. What are your weaknesses in writing?
12. Anything else that you want to know... (otherwise known as Fill in the Blank)

Signal Boost - WCWU Moderated Chat with Writing Prompts
Friends,

[livejournal.com profile] wcwu is having a moderated chat this Sunday at 12 noon EST in their chatroom.  Per [livejournal.com profile] ivorysilk, It will run for 1. 5 hours, from noon to 1:30, around lunchtime. The idea is there will be prompts posted every half hour, and you can write to the prompts. Afterwards, it will be a free for all for anyone that wants to stay for the regular Sunday afternoon chat.

Hope to see you there!  We had an impromptu prompt game tonight that was loads of fun and produced some awesome fics.  :)

Script Frenzy: Day 1
So, my inspiration didn't last long.  I got distracted by the interwebs, as usual.  But I have the beginnings of an idea, so I am working on fleshing it out and seeing if it's worth pursuing.  Let's just say it involves a mental hospital, some dramedy, and a hot protagonist (what? This all exists in my head, you know!)

As a bit of a kick in the rear, here's a writing exercise to start us off...  Let's call it the Blind Freewrite...

Turn off your computer monitor and/or close your eyes.  (I'm a fan of both so I'm not tempted to just stare at my fingers on the keyboard).  Start writing.  Whatever pops into your head.  Fuck punctuation and screw spelling.  Just write.  Do this until your fingers stop typing.  Now, take a breather, get a drink, do some yoga.  Turn on your monitor and look over your blind freewrite.  Did you come up with characters?  A plot?  Something that surprised you?
