Taylor Kitsch Talking about "Matty Bomer"
So, as my header suggests, I adore Dylan O'Brien, whose new movie "American Assassin" comes out on Sept 15th - YAY! Taylor Kitsch is also in the movie, and he was in Normal Heart with Matt. As part of the press he's doing for AmAs, he was on "Wake Up" this morning on Sirius, and the subject of celebrity crushes and then Normal Heart came up. (Source [Starts at 4:05])

The interviewers were asking if the ladies on Battleship had crushes on Taylor, and then someone asked him if Jim Parsons had a crush on him during Normal Heart.

Interviewer: What about Normal Heart?  Did Jim Parsons have a crush on you?

Taylor: I think I had a crush on Jim.  And Matty Bomer. I can't be more of a fan, of those two guys especially.  Matty Bomer is, god, he's one of the nicest guys.  And incredibly funny.

To recap, Taylor calls him Matty and has a crush on him. LOVE! Gives me Bookstore feels :D

Happy/Sad/Confused Podcast with Matt
So, I'm doing some pretty boring tasks at work, and I checked my usual podcast faves for new episodes and saw that Matt's episode of Happy/Sad/Confused was up, so I downloaded and spent a solid half hour laughing, which really helped me get work crap done today. It's definitely worth a listen, and it only clocks in at 38 minutes (the first 3 or so are the podcast host plugging things and introducing the episode, so it's more like 35 minutes).

You will not regret it - there's a lot of interesting bits about growing up, becoming an actor, a little about several jobs including Superman and some upcoming things like Nice Guys. He has finished filming his part for Magnificent Seven, and AHS: Hotel starts filming as soon as he's done with MMXXL press. He even talks about the boys at the end and how he's reliving his favorite childhood films through them, which makes me want to write fic about that with either Neal and Peter or Matt and Tim.

Podcast is available here for free.

I tried to embed the super cute pics from the Happy/Sad/Confused podcast Instagram, but LJ wasn't having any of that. Check that out here

DVR Alert: Matt on Live with Kelly & Michael - Watch What Happens Live
Via uninhabited-paradise over on Tumblr, Matt will be on Live with Kelly & Michael (ABC) on June 23rd and on Watch What Happens Live (Bravo) with Joe Manganiello on June 25th. Both are to promote Magic Mike XXL.

If you remember, Matt made a memorable appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Tiffani Thiessen a few years ago, where he performed the Bayside cheer and wanted to be best friends with a 60-year-old pole dancer named Angel. I'm sure this one with Joe will be amazing too! I can't wait!

Now that I'm thinking about it, those things might have happened on the Watch What Happens Live After Show. Either way - it'll be fun!

Matt Bomer News: Cast in "Nice Guys"
Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Matt has been cast opposite Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe in Nice Guys.

Per Deadline, Nice Guys takes place in 1970s Los Angeles, and Gosling plays a detective hired by a gangster (Crowe) to find a missing girl, and in the process uncovers a dangerous conspiracy and that is where Bomer’s character comes in. The studio also set Margaret Qually, star of HBO’s The Leftovers, to play the lead female role, the daughter of a corrupt chief justice who figures in the scandal.

The movie is an action drama written and directed by Shane Black (Iron Man 3) and is being produced by Joel Silver at Warner Brothers.

Matt to Guest Star on "American Horror Story: Freak Show"
This isn't really a surprise since Matt guests or stars in everything that Ryan Murphy does these days, but it was announced today that he will be guesting on "American Horror Story: Freak Show" in a role that is "very…warped" per Ryan Murphy.

Boys, Attack! Matt & the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Matt was called out today for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. If you're not familiar with the challenge, it's a social media viral sensation to raise awareness for ALS. As I understand it, if you are called out, you have 24 hours to make a video of you dumping ice water over your head in addition to donating a minimum of $10 to Project ALS, or you have to donate a minimum of $100 if you don't complete the challenge in time. You can donate here.

Out Magazine Outtakes and HuffPost Live Webcast Tomorrow Morning
Monday just got a little better!

Head over here to read some outtakes from Matt's Out magazine interview. There is more discussion of the weight loss and Simon weighs in on what it was like to watch it on screen. Matt also talks about the end of White Collar and a little about Magic Mike and Montgomery Clift.

Also, the cast of The Normal Heart sat down with Huffington Post for an interview, which will be broadcast tomorrow morning at 10:50am ET here (I think - their website is very confusing for the things that aren't up yet). For a snippet of the interview, where Ryan Murphy and Jim Parsons discusses Larry Kramer being on set the day that DOMA was struck down, go here

Edited to fix the time of the HuffPost Live airing

ETA: Fourth HBO Teaser Trailer (it's almost entirely comprised of footage we've already seen, just FYI)
